Common questions

Good to know

Timing, green waste, rain and safety — the things people ask us most.

How far in advance should I book?

We usually have availability within one to two weeks, and often sooner. Spring and early summer are our busiest months, so booking a little ahead helps secure the day you want. Urgent jobs can sometimes be squeezed in — just ask.

How long does a typical visit take?

A standard garden bed tidy-up takes around two to four hours. A full property reset can take a whole day or more. We give you a time estimate with your quote so you know what to plan for.

Do you take the green waste away?

Yes — green waste removal is included in every visit. We bag weeds as we work, load them up and take them to a licensed facility to be mulched and composted rather than sent to landfill.

What happens to the weeds once they are removed?

Green waste is sorted from any general rubbish and taken to a local licensed green waste facility. Clean mulch produced there can even come back to your garden as bed cover on request.

Do you work in the rain?

Light rain rarely stops us, and damp soil can actually make hand-pulling easier. In heavy rain or storms we may reschedule for safety and to avoid compacting wet soil — we will always let you know and rebook at no cost.

What if it rains on the day of my booking?

We monitor the forecast and confirm the day before. If the weather turns, we will contact you to reschedule to the next suitable day. There is no cancellation fee for weather we call off.

Is the method safe for pets and children?

Absolutely. We do not use herbicides by default, so there is no residue, no withholding period and no need to keep pets or kids off the garden. Any targeted treatment is only ever done on request and clearly explained.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry $20M public liability insurance and every team member is police checked. We are happy to provide a certificate of currency before we start.

Do I need to be home during the visit?

It is entirely up to you. Many clients are happy for us to work while they are out. We just need access to the areas to be cleared, water and, ideally, somewhere to park.

Can you quote from photos?

Yes — most quotes start from a few photos. Send through pictures of the areas you want cleared, your suburb and a rough idea of the size, and we will come back with a fixed quote, usually within one business day.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfer, card and cash. Payment is due on completion of the job, and you receive a tax invoice for your records.

Do you offer recurring visits?

We do. Fortnightly, monthly and seasonal schedules are available and receive a discounted rate, along with priority booking during our busy periods. We will recommend the lightest schedule that keeps your garden on top of the weeds.
